a boat travels up the paraguay river from conception by many ports to the north on the border with brazil,thought most of these boats werent designed to carry passengers so expect a sticky crowded experiance, but you can buy just about anything on board even cold beer...bring something comfortable to sleep on!

taxis in the city are really expensive especially in comparison to the busses,outside the city there are no meters so make sure you decide on a price before you get in and try and look shocked when they tellyou how much it is sometimes they are just chancing their arm ...tourists have been asked for $20us for a five minute ride......
