Shah Alam is about 20 kilometers west of Kuala Lumpur and a part of the urban sprawl of Klang Valley. The KTM Komuter line from Kuala Lumpur to Klang stops in Shah Alam, but the station is not particularly conveniently located.

Eat 'Ikan Bakar' (grilled fish)in medan selera at Section 2, in front of Shah Alam waterpark. Very delicious but very cheap.Come early or you will not get any. Try also Mamak's restaurant around Section 7, very clean, various food choices and very comfortable. Watch soccer here, and feel the sports spirits.
