Navigation bar
Evan, would it not be a good idea to link "help" in the navigation bar to Wikitravel Shared:Help instead of to en:. That way, one does not have to work on two web sites at the same time...i.e. edit Shared in one window and look for help on en: in another window. What do you think? Travellers' pub
Eh, I just realised we do not seem to have a pub here. That link could go in the navigation bar too, perhaps? The place itself is created, even if is only a hole in the ground at the moment: Travellers' pub. Riggwelter 09:33, 7 March 2006 (EST)
Request
Thanks you understood perfectly. I think it would be more useful/helpful with that as the link. - Sapphire 00:37, 25 May 2006 (EDT)
Another request
On the upload page will you change the drop down menu when some selects the option of "Don't know" to use the Template:Dont know (Without the apostrophe)? Thanks. - Sapphire 22:45, 10 June 2006 (EDT) I receive an error message everytime I try to create Template:Don't know:
A database query syntax error has occurred. This may indicate a bug in the software. The last attempted database query was: (SQL query hidden) from within function "getTemplatesTo". MySQL returned error "1064: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 't_know}}%' OR old_text LIKE '%{{Don't_know|%' OR old_text LIKE ' (wikidb.internetbrands.com)".
Thanks. -Sapphire 23:26, 15 June 2006 (EDT)
Pt: admin
Hi Evan. So far, pt: has no Administrator operating on Shared. Do you think you could fix that, please? Thanks. Ricardo (Rmx) 18:49, 14 August 2006 (EDT)
- Done! --Evan 20:47, 14 August 2006 (EDT)
Liaisons
Evan, earlier today, no, sorry, yesterday, I created Wikitravel Shared:Liaisons. The page serves several purposes, but here are a few:
- A list of all the liaisons active on the various Wikitravel language versions
- An embryo to some sort of manual for liaisons - what are we supposed to do?
- A foundation for contact between the liaisons (apart from the liaison reports).
- One more step in making Shared the base for all inter-language work
Could you, who knows the liaisons, make sure they sign the list or become aware of its existence, please? In a way, I assume this also means that en: has to appoint a/a few liaison(s) as well. I hope this is in line with your intention of making Shared the common ground for the language versions we have. I have posted a note in the Travellers' pub too. Riggwelter 20:23, 26 August 2006 (EDT)
- Please disregard this - we redirected it to Wikitravel Shared:Language versions instead. However - en: still needs liaisons....Riggwelter
