The following tags are currently supported by Wikitravel Shared. These can and should be inserted into the image description.

Licensing

Typically these tags will be added automatically for images uploaded through Special:Upload.

Tag	Meaning
{{cc-by-sa-all}}	The image is licensed under CC by-sa 1.0 and any later version, including 2.0 and 2.5.
{{cc-by-sa-1.0}}	The image is licensed under CC by-sa 1.0 only.
{{cc-by-sa-2.0}}	The image is licensed under CC by-sa 2.0 only.
{{cc-by-sa-2.5}}	The image is licensed under CC by-sa 2.5 only.
{{cc-by-1.0}}	The image is licensed under CC by 1.0 only.
{{cc-by-2.0}}	The image is licensed under CC by 2.0 only.
{{cc-by-2.5}}	The image is licensed under CC by 2.5 only.
{{dual-gfdl-cc-by-sa-1.0}}	The image is licensed under the Gnu Free Documentation License and the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license 1.0.
{{dual-gfdl-cc-by-sa-any}}	The image is licensed under the Gnu Free Documentation License and any version of the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license.
{{PD-old}}	The image is not covered by copyright because the copyright term has expired.
{{PD-fed}}	The image is not covered by copyright because it was created by the federal government of the United States.
{{PD-creator}}	The image is not covered by copyright because the creator has dedicated the work to the public domain.

Location

{{location|somewhere}}

Used in images and other media files to tag the location it applies it. For example, a picture taken in Tokyo would use {{location|Tokyo}}.

{{isIn|location}}

Used in categories to tag the next level. For example, the category Tokyo contains {{isIn|Japan}}.
