Bloemfontein can easily reached by car via the N1 highway, running from Cape Town to Johannesburg and Harare.

By plane

Bloemfontein Airport [1] is just outside the town and a number of flights to major South African cities take off from here, operated by South African Airways [2] and SA Airlink [3]. Low-cost airline 1Time [4]] recently started flights to Johannesburg.
