Borlänge [1] is an average-sized Swedish city in the province Dalarna. With a population of roughly 50.000, it is the second most populous city in the province, after Falun.

Get in
The town has good communications. The road-network are excellent and the only time to expect traffic jams is at four o'clock when most people head home from their work. There are also a railway-station and an airport.
By plane
The Dala Airport in Borlänge has routes to Stocholm, Gothenburg and Malmö.
By train
Get around
Getting around by car is easy, however the road-signs are - as in the rest of Sweden - in Swedish so a map is suggested.
The bus-network covers the entire town and the villages outside. A ride inside the towns borders costs 17 SEK for adults(over 16 years old), and 14 SEK for children.

- Ornässtugan - A old timber-house dating back to the 1500th century. The soon-to-be Swedish king Gustaf Vasa hid here after the Stockholm Bloodbath, when he was the last remain of the Swedish noble the Danes sought to eliminate. Guided tours are available.

- Go skiiing in the Romme Alpin. Modern ski-facility some kilometres from Borlänge downtown.
