Borneo is the third largest non-continental island in the world (after Greenland and New Guinea). It is located in Southeast Asia and is divided into three parts, administered by separate countries:

• Kalimantan is the Indonesian part of Borneo

• Brunei is a sovereign country occupying a small portion of the island's northwestern coast
