Brong Ahafo is a region in Ghana that offers a taste of the totality of the Ghanaian culture at a go and the wonderful natural sites whose influence on one’s life can never be underestimated. The vast region which ranks second only to the Northern region in size spans some 320 kilometers from the Ghana – Cote d’Ivoire frontier to the massive Volta Lake on the East. Its physical features are magnificent. Dominated by flat land with gentle slopes and pockets of high ranges whose bowels flow pure spring water which forms the numerous rivers that meander through the deep green forests that enjoy prominence in the region. Brong Ahafo serves as the transitional zone for northerners coming down south and vice versa thus turning it into a big melting pot where all types of cultures, languages and religions stir so well. Just beyond Kintampo, the true geographic centre of Ghana, the ranges and the dense forest gradually melt.
