A thousand-year-old-village, beautifully laid out among terraced fields and orchards along the southern foot of the step sunny slopes of the Karavanke, a village with many typical features of alpine architecture preserved, the most outstanding being the arched doorways of farmhouses.
The mountain guides will safely lead you from Mojstrana across the alpine peaks.
The relief of the Julian Alps in very dissected, there are steep and deeply cut valleys, their slopes having been smoothed down by glaciers and the bottoms are flat and enlarged or covered with the sediments originating from glacial and postglacial periods. In fact most of the Park area is exceptionally rich in various karst phenomena, including a special type of the mountain karst
