Harris is one of the Outer Hebrides in Scotland, known for its world famous Harris Tweed. It is actually joined to the larger island of Lewis but for some reason they are known as separate islands.

By ferry
Calmac Ferries [1] run from Uig on Skye to Tarbert on Harris and from Lochmaddy on North Uist to Leverburgh on Harris. You can also travel via Ullapool to Stornoway on Lewis.
By bus
Regular buses link Tarbert with Ullapool on Lewis.
Get Around
By bus
Regular buses travel between Tarbert and Leverburgh.

- Camping Most visitors to Harris seem to camp. There are numerous campsites dotted around the island, some in extremely picturesque settings, some of them are not official ones. Please take your litter home if you decide to do wild camping!
