This is a draft revision of my entry for the Logo contest.
The concept is that someone drew an aeroplane on a notepad and it becomes a reality. Wikitravel is all about making a few notes about a place in order to make someone's holiday better.
Note: If people like my idea, there's plenty of scope for improving this logo, such as the following:
Mark's cleaning up of the text
- Making the contrast sharper and the lines bolder.
- Cleaning up the text and using a better font. Mark has re-rendered my text and tidied up the letters a bit in the image to the right.
- Scope for adding/replacing the aeroplane with other modes of transport or travel concepts such as a map or a tent.
- Fixing the dimensions so it will fit in the corner of the monobook and/or other places in the site.
- Making a favicon, possibly out of the W and the t.
- Anything else anyone would like to change. The XCF is available Image:Wikitravel logo Owl.xcf if people want to alter it. This is CC-by-sa, after all!
