Leon is a province in Castile-Leon, Spain.

Leon is the northwestern province in the region of Castile-Leon, and has over the years been the capital of a region in its own right. The landscape is varied, and includes some dramatic scenery in the west by Ponferrada and in the northern mountains bordering Asturias.

The main roads are pretty good, but busy. The minor roads vary according to the population served. Especially in the more mountainous areas short distances on a map can take a long time.
