Get in

There are busses on the Sorrento-Salerno line about two per hour.

Get around

Understand

Maiori is laid out as the letter L. There is a road and a promenade along the beach. Perpendicular to the beach is the wide pedestrian street, Corso Regina with stores, bars restaurants, and sometimes a market at night.

See

Do

  • Go to the beach.There are two public strips of beach, the others rent out parasols with beds or chairs for €10-15.
  • Giardini Palazzo Mezzacapo off Corta Regina. Lovely garden with water fountains. Often has free live concerts.

on the corsa reginna there are all kinds of shops and gift shops you can find clothes and all kinds of stud=ff for very cheap prices and including all this you get to see all the beautiful sites.

Eat

  • Gino's Bar Sirena is good for lunch or a drink. Gino's also sells bus tickets.

for all them youngsters out there on the 15th August maiori has a huge festival for the santa maria and you will never find a place as lively, during the night there will be all kinds of events happaning such as loads of dancing and beach parties.During July and August allot of events happan in maiori and im telling you now you will never fing a place as beautiful as this one.

Drink

Maiori produces some of the best Limoncelli.

  • All the private beach strips have a bar where you can have a drink or you can take it to your parasol.

  • Pensione de Rosa, Via Orti 24, Tel: 089877031. Nice clean rooms with bathroom and a balcony a couple of blocks from the beach. Follow the sign from Gino's. €60 for a double room.
  • Panoramic (Not the Panorama), via Santa Tacla, 12. Tel: +39089 8542301, [1]. Small apartments with kithcenette and hotel rooms (Ca €60).
