'Agritourist' camps are located throughout Italy and offer an excellent and affordable way to be a part of the 'country' side of Italy. Just on the outskirts of Mantova to the south is a friendly agritourist camp named Corte Chiara, that offer both cheap rooms and camping sites to pitch a tent. Super friendly owners/staff, mean that even a short stay in Mantova can be rewarded with some wonderful conversion and possibly even wine with the wonderful owner and his family. A beautiful place.
