Panama City (Florida) Travel Guide
From Wikitravel
Panama City [1], situated on the Gulf of Mexico in the Florida Panhandle, home of many miles of beautiful beaches, is a popular spring break destination for Americans and winter residence for "Snowbirds" escaping the cold of Canadian winters. Neighboring Panama City Beach, is the tourist destination commonly referred to as Panama City; they are separated by West Bay which is crossed by car on U.S. 98 (Hathaway Bridge).
Unlike the majority of Florida, Panama City is located in the Central time zone. Peak tourism times are Winter months (January and February) for northern residents ("snowbirds"), March for college students on Spring Break, and the Summer months (Memorial Day to Labor Day) for families.
