Erm. When Moldova gained its independence from the Soviet union, the Russian Rayon as the administrative unit was dropped in favour of the nine. A communist government was relected a couple of years back, they reinstated the Russian ones. There are no alternative english names for these. Mark Richards 14:27, 19 Jun 2004 (EDT)

Other cities?

The Wikitravel:World cities with 100K population or more lists two in Moldova but they aren't on the map and I did not see them in a quick look at the text. What is going on there? Pashley 09:56, 25 April 2006 (EDT)
