Tromso (Tromsø; [1]) is in the very northernmost part of Norway. It is north of the arctic circle and is one of the best places to view the spectacular Northern Lights.

Weather in the summer is highly variable: overcast, chilly, drizzly days are interspersed with beautiful warm, sunny days.

There is also a dedicated "Airbus" (Flybussen) that will take you straight into the town centre, only stopping at a few hotels along the way (about 45 NOK). Taxis are also available, for about 100 NOK.
