Who am I?
I travel to some fairly unusual places though my work. I am self employed and my work is broadcast engineering. This means setting up radio and TV transmitters, studios and satellite earth stations. My customers include commercial operators, the BBC World Service and some governments. I received an electronics engineering degree from Imperial College, London and I previously worked for a radio equipment manufacturer in the UK.
Where I have been
I have ongoing work in Afghanistan and Sierra Leone. I have some work in Romania. Other countries I have worked in or visited recently United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Jordan, Nigeria, Lebanon, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Slovenia, Kenya, Kazakhstan, Finland, Nepal and Malta.
Where am I going
Apart fro my regular work in Afghanistan and Sierra Leone, I will be visiting United Arab Emirates and Uzbekistan regularly. I also expect to visit Democratic Republic of Congo and Kazakhstan during 2006.
