Understand

My name is Ricardo and I live in Brasília, the strange-but-nice capital of Brazil. I've travelled a bit through some of South America (a lot within my own country), Europe and tiny bits of the USA - NYC and Washington (D.C.).

I like to take pictures of things and places rather than people. My Flickr page has some of the shots I've taken more (or less) recently, but most of them would be useless for Wikitravel because I'm not into the postcard kind of pics. I've just bought a (Lomo) Action Sampler camera too, but was quite disappointed with the first results

Portuguese Wikitravel

I am also working on the Portuguese-language version of Wikitravel that started here. I've been helping on the translation of many of the project pages and on the creation specific policies too - a hard, low-paying but rewarding job.

As go-between for that version of Wikitravel, I'll have to prepare some monthly reports to let users of other language versions of Wikitravel know about what's going on there.
