I teach English in public schools in Hamamatsu in the Japanese prefecture of Shizuoka.

I am originally from the tiny city of Pampa, Texas, and I lived for 10 years in Denton, not far from bustling Dallas. I have been living in Japan for most of the last 3 years, the first of those in Tottori. In Japan, I have also been to Kyoto, Osaka, Nagoya, Nara, Okayama, and of course, Tokyo.

Other places I have traveled:

• 4 months, covering nine states of Brazil, including 5 weeks in Rio de Janeiro
• Thailand
• Cambodia
• The Philippines
• Northern Mexico
• Canada and
• 44 of my own 50 United States

I speak English natively and Portuguese fluently, and I can speak Spanish and Japanese to some extent. I occasionally keep a travel blog with photos here
