Snails can sleep for thirteen years, although "only the tired ones". - Pilkipedia
Hi, my name is Tim Sandell.
I was born in Guildford, UK, and lived there for the first 18 years of my life. During that time, due to the good luck of having parents that like going to cool places on holiday, I did a fair bit of travelling! However, it wasn't until I took a gap year that I discovered how much I really like travelling around seeing the world! I spent my gap year in Lesotho working with Scripture Union in schools. In between working, we ventured out into the mountains and explored. This was when I was bitten by the travel bug and now the only thing that is limiting my expeditions is money. Currently, I am living in Manchester, studying Physics at the University of Manchester.
For even more information on me, check out my blog (it's a bit empty at the moment, because I've only just started it...)
I have been working on Wikitravel since Jan 06, and I found it whilst trying to think of things I could do instead of revision... Big things I've done around here include making the wonderful new Park guide status templates and somehow becoming an admin!
I upload onto Wikitravel Shared under the same name.
