Destination of the month

Budapest is the capital of Hungary. Located on both sides of the Danube River and featuring both the rolling hills of Buda (on the west bank) and the organized, gridlike layout of Pest (east bank), these two very different cities united by convenience into one city offer the traveller a Viennese-style aura at half the price. Off the beaten path

Denali National Park is a U.S. National Park in Alaska, home to North America's highest mountain (Mt. McKinley, known to the natives as Denali). Airport chaos in the UK

The uncovering of a terrorist plot has caused chaos at British airports. Many flights to London, Birmingham and other major hubs have been cancelled or delayed; reroute travel if possible. Severe restrictions currently forbid bringing nearly anything as carry-on. (more...)

Philippine volcano warning

Mount Mayon, Philippines' biggest volcano, is predicted to erupt in the next few days and Philippine authorities have evacuated around 35000 people living within 8km of the crater. Travel is not advised to the immediate area around the volcano. (more...)

Biman Bangladesh in trouble

Bangladesh's flag carrier Biman is in serious financial trouble. Flights to New York have been suspended and routes to Paris, Frankfurt and Yangon will be terminated in October. All international routes are under review and, with ancient aircrafts and piling debts, the airline's future is uncertain. (more...)
