By car
Go in either from Swakopmund or Windhoek.
By air
Air Namibia provides flights within the country from Walvis Bay Airport, while South African Express offers flights to Cape Town and Johannesburg.
Get around
See
Flamingos feeding in the shallow waters by the beach.

- Kite Surfing Head on down to the lagoon to ride the waves
- Go fishing Rods can be rented. You need a fishing permit though which can be bought at the minitry of fisheries. Speak to the locals about the various fishing spots

Swakopmund 30km away has by far a better night life and variety of resturants than Walvis Bay.
- The Raft A Resturant on a pier in the lagoon. Its seasonal so make sure its open before heading out there.
"Probst" A German cafe serving some of the best sandwiches. Try the "rawhak" roll.
