Please help me plan my trip to Spain and France User:Sapphire/Sandbox/New_Years_2007

I'm from Cincinnati and love to travel. I spent five months in Munich and another two in Warsaw, Poland during 2004/2005.

Aside from traveling I also like to visit Wikipedia and harass Wikipedians. I'm a moral guerilla warrior that has attacked Wikipedia's use of the controversial Muhammad cartoons that sparked fiery and exciting riots in the Middle East. I believe that Wikipedia has very little journalistic value, because of the controversy. Wikipedia states that Wikipedia tries to maintain a neutral point of view, however, this is a blatant lie if one is to examine the ethical guidelines of the Society of Professional Journalists , which, clearly guides journalists and media outlets to "Examine their own cultural values and avoid imposing those values on others."

Additionally, Wikipedia trumps that Wikipedia is not "censored," yet, a far more reliable journalist than anyone contributing to Wikipedia Daniel Schorr, a six decade professional journalist, has made his view of the controversy clear "Rights are best defended when employed responsibly."

I further believe that Wikipedia should prohibit the images from loading on their "article" about the cartoons simply because they are offensive to some people. This is direct effect of my cultural awareness inspired by my traveling that has taught me to be open to other cultures and values and to respect the people who practice those beliefs and values. This view is also shared by the Associated Press. "The Associated Press refused to distribute images of the cartoons because they violated standards of taste.” For the above state reasons I hate Wikipedia!

I'm an opponent of the metric system, because why do I want to order a half liter or beer when I can order a Imperial pint and get more beer for roughly the same price. Additionally, it is my opinion that if God had intended for the metric system to be used America would use the system or better yet an American would have invented it! I'm a nationalist when it comes to the metric system.

This went largely ignored by myself, but it seems as of 08:14, 11 March 2006 I've been contributing to MaxTravelz for a year! Break out the wiki champagne.

Saddest Day of My Life

O' how hopeful we were on this 8th day of January 2006. Fifteen hard years, we felt like an inmate free again. The Steel men cheated and stole away Palmer. Chants of "Who dey" quieted down. Is he hurt? Kitna came onto the field. Let there be mercy on us God. T.J. went up not against one, but three of the men in yellow. At the end of the first we were 10 - 0! Go Cincinnati! In the second we led 17 - 7! We're going to win! Who dey!

In the third everything went wrong and the Steelers were up by four. Fifteen minutes left to go and somehow we were unable to rally again.

In what became the saddest day of my life the Bengals had lost their first game post-season game in fifteen years. I demand that God compensate us for ending our star Quarterback's season and thereby ending the Bengals season!

God must meet these demands

  1. Force the Steelers to lose next weekend by the largest margin of defeat in NFL history. (UPDATE: God did not meet this demand.)
  2. The Cincinnati Bengals must win the Super Bowl in 2007

Should our demands not be met there is very little Cincinnati can do about it. Sapphire 00:15, 9 Jan 2006 (EST)

Philosophical questions of the year

  • What does the Gospel of Judas mean for Christians?
  • Does scientific research trump the safety of humans, the world, or the universe (In the case of antimatter)?
  • Should the media print offensive material (Muhammad cartoons) in the name of freedom of press?

Auld Lang Syne

A song for the begin of the new year. My favorite verse is the first.

Should old acquaintance be forgot,
and never brought to mind ?
Should old acquaintance be forgot,
and auld lang syne ?
CHORUS:
For auld lang syne, my dear,
for auld lang syne,
we'll take a cup o’ kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.
And surely you’ll get your pint mug !
And surely I’ll get mine !
And we'll take a cup o’ kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.
CHORUS
We two have run about the hills,
and pulled the daisies fine ;
But we’ve wandered many a weary foot,
since auld lang syne.
CHORUS
We two have paddled in the stream,
from morning sun ’till dine ;
But seas between us broad have roared
since auld lang syne.
CHORUS
And there’s a hand my trusty friend !
And give us a hand o’ thine !
And we’ll take a right good-friendly draught,
for auld lang syne.
CHORUS
